The International Wine Competition IWSC ended with record results – the winners are already known

28 Gold, 113 Silver, and 177 Bronze – these record-breaking results marked the conclusion of the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC) Wine and Spirits Judging in Georgia, which featured 420 wines and spirits from 150 companies. Notably, this year producers had the opportunity to enter not only wine products but also chacha, brandy, and other high-alcohol beverages in the competition.

In addition to wines produced in Georgia, the competition also showcased 52 wines and spirits from 24 Armenian companies.

Georgian entries achieved a record 24 gold medals – 22 for wines and 2 for brandy – as well as 109 silver medals for wines and 4 for spirits. According to the competition organizers, compared to last year, the number of both gold and silver medals increased by 36%, while the number of silver medal winners has nearly doubled compared to 2022.

The panel of international judges was chaired by Master of Wine Sarah Abbott, a renowned expert and promoter of Georgian wine in the UK and Europe.

The General Sponsor of IWSC 2025 Wine & Spirits Judging in Georgia was Bank of Georgia Business, with Teliani Valley Winery as the Official Sponsor. The competition was supported by the National Wine Agency of Georgia, the National Tourism Administration, Gurjaani Municipality City Hall, and Gepra.
