The International Wine Competition (IWSC) brings the world closer to Georgia’s rich cultural heritage

Georgia is hosting the International Wine Competition IWSC for the third time this year. The main theme of this year’s event is the outstanding representative of Georgian art, Niko Pirosmani. It is worth noting that last year’s competition, the concept of which was dedicated to the popularization of the traditional Georgian table, received great acclaim from the international jury and participants.

This year’s event continues to showcase the unique aspects of Georgian cultural heritage. Niko Pirosmani, as a priceless treasure of Georgian culture, is an important source of inspiration for both winemakers and tasters. His work fully reflects the centuries-old winemaking traditions of Georgia.

The International Wine Competition IWSC not only demonstrates the high standards of Georgian winemaking, but also brings the world community closer to the rich cultural heritage of Georgia. It is important that this year, at the Georgian Wine Exhibition in London, where IWSC gold and silver medalist wines were presented, the organizers decorated the pavilion with traditional Georgian blue tablecloth elements and ornaments.

We would like to remind you that the IWSC (International Wines and Spirits Competition) will hold its third competition in Georgia. IWSC 2025 Wine & Spirits Judging in Georgia, in collaboration with the Gurjaani Wine Festival and the Georgian National Wine Agency, will be held in Tbilisi from November 27 to December 1, 2024. Traditionally, the IWSC will be held in Georgia with a star-studded team of international judges, whose experience and knowledge will ensure that the competition is held to the highest standards.

This year, winemakers will be able to enter a significant new product: in addition to wine, it will be possible to submit chacha, brandy, and other spirits to the competition.
