The IWSC (International Wine and Spirit Competition) will hold its third competition in Georgia. “IWSC 2025 Wine & Spirits Judging in Georgia,” organized in collaboration with the Gurjaani Wine Festival and the National Wine Agency of Georgia, will take place in Tbilisi from November 27 to December 1, 2024.
In addition to wine tasting, the jury members will visit three Georgian wine regions: Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli (Bolnisi), and Outer Kakheti (Khahshmi). They will tour both small and medium-sized wineries, where they will learn about local grape varieties as well as traditional and modern winemaking methods.
The purpose of the visit is to introduce wine professionals and major buyers to Georgia’s rich and diverse viticulture and winemaking culture. The trip will allow them to see different wineries with their own eyes and taste exceptional wines.
Registration for participation in “IWSC 2025 Wine & Spirits Judging in Georgia” is open until November 1.
This year brings an important update for winemakers: in addition to wine products, it will be possible to submit chacha, brandy, and other high-alcohol beverages for the competition.
