The IWSC (International Wine and Spirit Competition) will hold its third competition in Georgia. “IWSC 2025 Wine & Spirits Judging in Georgia” will be held in Tbilisi from November 27 to December 1, 2024, in collaboration with the Gurjaani Wine Festival and the National Wine Agency of Georgia.
In addition to wine tasting, the jury members will visit three wine regions of Georgia: Shida Kartli, Kvemo Kartli (Bolnisi) and Gare Kakheti (Khashmi). They will visit both small and medium-sized wineries, where they will learn about local grape varieties, traditional and modern winemaking methods.
The goal of the visit is to introduce wine professionals and large buyers to the rich and diverse viticulture and winemaking culture of Georgia. The trip will allow them to see different wineries with their own eyes and taste exceptional wines.
Registration for participation in the “IWSC 2025 Wine & Spirits Judging in Georgia” is open until November 1.
Winemakers have an important news this year: in addition to wine products, it will be possible to submit chacha, brandy and other high-alcohol beverages to the competition.
